Snackish, the better-for-you chip brand co-founded by SmartSweets creator Tara Bosch, is executing a nationwide rollout at Sprouts Farmers Market, anchored by two flavors exclusive to the chain: Chili Lime and Best Dressed. The expansion gives the brand a second major retail partner alongside Target, where Snackish has distributed since its 2026 launch.

Bosch, who built SmartSweets into what the company describes as the fastest-growing solo female-founded company in CPG history, developed the Snackish concept in 2024 alongside co-founder Willa. The first products were produced at the Snacktory, the company's name for its 65,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Atlanta, in 2025. The brand positions its chips around potato protein, prebiotic fiber, and avocado oil, and holds Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Gluten Free, kosher, and Women-Owned certifications, per the company.

The Sprouts rollout extends a retailer-specific SKU strategy already visible at Target, which carries four varieties: BBQ Bash, Jalapeño Kick, Pickle Punch, and Vinegar Rush. The two Sprouts exclusives bring the total lineup to six varieties, with each chain receiving differentiated product to limit cross-channel overlap and reinforce partnership depth.

Why it matters

Retailer-exclusive flavor programs are a proven mechanism for securing and defending shelf space, particularly in the natural and specialty channel where differentiation from conventional snack brands carries outsized weight. By giving Sprouts its own SKUs rather than mirroring the Target assortment, Snackish reduces the risk of being treated as a commodity and gives each retail partner a proprietary story to tell on shelf. For a brand in its first year of national distribution, landing placements at two chains with distinct shopper profiles simultaneously represents a meaningful compression of the conventional launch playbook, which typically involves regional rollouts before national commitment. The Atlanta production facility, at 65,000 square feet, suggests the company anticipated this scale from the start.

What to watch

How Snackish manages velocity and replenishment across two national retail partners running separate SKU sets is the clearest near-term operational test. If exclusive flavors underperform at either chain, the brand risks losing exactly the placement leverage that the exclusivity strategy was built to create.
