Free Bird, the canned spring water brand founded by Jay Williams, lists four-time PGA TOUR winner Kevin Kisner as a partner on its website, alongside NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Briscoe and country artist Cole Swindell, an investor and brand ambassador. The company describes Kisner as "one of golf's most recognizable personalities" and says he brings that energy "to the Free Bird family as a partner." The page does not describe financial terms.

Free Bird has been widening its distribution. On October 16 the company said its water is now available online nationwide at Walmart.com, following an April launch in nearly 300 Walmart stores across eight Southeastern states, per a company release. WKML reported in August that since its December 2024 debut, Free Bird had reached more than 2,500 stores across the Southeast, with placement at Walmart, Harris Teeter, Food City and Han-Dee Hugo's, plus Amazon. The brand also lists Circle K among its retailers.

Free Bird sources its still and sparkling water from Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains and sells 12-packs for $24.99 on its own site, per the company. Its sports ties so far run mostly through motorsports: Joe Gibbs Racing signed a multi-year agreement that made Free Bird the primary partner on Briscoe's No. 19 Toyota for three 2026 Cup Series races, the last at the Charlotte ROVAL on October 11, and Viking Motorsports named it the team's official water supplier. In golf, the brand already sells a Swannies × Free Bird golf hat.

Why it matters

Free Bird's marketing runs through named partners: a NASCAR driver, a country artist who also invested, and now a PGA TOUR player. Kisner is the only golfer among the three people the company lists as Friends of Free Bird, which gives the brand a recognizable face in a sport where it had appeared mainly through merchandise.

What to watch

Whether the Kisner partnership brings golf-course or clubhouse placement, which the company has not announced, and how the Walmart.com listing sells outside the Southeast, where Free Bird's store footprint is concentrated.
