Druski, the comedian and entrepreneur, has secured an equity stake in Gopuff through a new multi-year strategic partnership with the rapid-delivery platform, converting what had been a traditional ambassador relationship into a co-ownership arrangement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The partnership follows Druski's appearance alongside Tom Brady in Gopuff's "HARD PASS" campaign and places him alongside a roster of celebrity equity holders that already includes Brady and NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Per the company, the deal will encompass exclusive product launches and collaborations, consumer activations channeled through Druski's entertainment companies Coulda Been Records and 4Lifers Entertainment, and product development and distribution supported by Gopuff.
The involvement of two distinct entertainment vehicles gives the arrangement more operational surface area than a standard name-on-a-campaign deal, positioning Druski as a platform partner rather than a spokesperson.
Why it matters
The deal reflects a structural shift in how consumer-facing platforms are deploying celebrity relationships. Rather than paying for reach through traditional endorsement contracts, Gopuff is converting high-profile partners into co-owners, aligning incentives in a way that pure sponsorship cannot. Building a roster that spans Brady's mainstream sports audience, Giannis's global following, and Druski's comedy and culture fanbase creates a diversified acquisition funnel that is difficult to replicate with paid media alone. For talent, the model trades upfront fees for long-term upside, a calculation that becomes more attractive as platforms mature and equity carries real potential value. The presence of established entertainment infrastructure on Druski's side, two active companies with distribution and production capacity, also raises the ceiling on what the collaboration can produce relative to a typical celebrity licensing play.
What to watch
The open question is whether Gopuff's expanding equity-partner roster translates into measurable customer acquisition across distinct consumer cohorts, or whether the partnerships function primarily as brand-awareness vehicles. As the program grows, investors and category observers will look for evidence that each partner is reaching audiences that do not substantially overlap with those brought in by the others.
