Little's Coffee, the Devon-based family brand that started over 35 years ago, has introduced single-serve iced coffee concentrate sachets, bringing a pre-measured, portable format to a product line it already offers in larger sizes.

The sachets are made with 100% Arabica coffee and require no equipment beyond a glass, milk and ice. Three flavours are available at launch: Frozen Vanilla, Sweet Cinnamon and Creamy Caramel. The brand already lists all three under its iced coffee concentrate category, meaning the new format represents a packaging and distribution play rather than a flavour expansion. Little's says it is already stocked across major UK retailers.

The brand was founded by husband and wife Henry and Leila Little, who were inspired by coffee roasters they encountered while travelling in California. Their son Will now runs the business alongside his wife Caro, with production handled in-house at a BRCGS AA-rated facility in Devon. The portfolio spans flavoured instant coffee, Nespresso-compatible capsules, decaf coffee, coffee tins and gifts. The brand has also featured on Dragons' Den. Its flavoured instant range carries no added sugar, per the company, and is sold in plastic-free packaging.

Why it matters

The single-serve sachet format has become a contested space across the broader beverage category, as portability and preparation speed increasingly drive purchase decisions outside the home. For a brand rooted in flavoured instant coffee, a pre-measured iced concentrate sachet extends the convenience proposition into dayparts and impulse settings where ready-to-drink cans have historically dominated. The move signals that established instant coffee brands are becoming more deliberate about capturing iced coffee occasions rather than ceding that volume to RTD formats and cold brew bottles. As iced coffee has shifted from a seasonal to a year-round category in the UK, removing preparation friction is a credible commercial lever, particularly for a family business that manufactures its own products and can control format development without a co-packer.

What to watch

Little's already has confirmed distribution across major UK retail chains, but the critical open question is whether the single-serve sachet earns dedicated space in convenience and impulse channels, where single-portion formats typically deliver the strongest velocity, or whether the launch performs primarily as a direct-to-consumer proposition through the brand's own site.
